COLLETTE POLLARD is a scenic designer based out of Chicago. Her Chicago credits include: The Real Thing, A Streetcar Named Desire, Rosencrantz and Guildernstern (Writers' Theatre); Broadway Bound (Drury Lane Theatre, Joseph Jefferson Nomination). Orlando and The Illusion (Court Theatre, Joseph Jefferson Nomination); The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, To Kill a Mockingbird, A House On Mango Street and Harriet Jacobs (Steppenwolf Theatre) The Front Page (Joseph Jefferson Award), Tesla's Letters and A House With No Walls (Timeline Theatre); Stoop Stories (Goodman Theatre). Collette is a company member at The House Theatre of Chicago where she has designed 16 shows since 2004 and recently designed Cyrano and Odradek. Other House Theatre Credits include The Nutcracker, Wilson Wants It All, Girl vs. Boys, Dave Davinci Saves The Universe, Curse of a Crying Heart, The Magnificents, Rose And The Rime, The Sparrow and many more. Regional credits include: A Streetcar Named Desire (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Glass Menagerie and Harriet Jacobs (Kansas CIty Repertory Theatre), Don't Tell Me I Can't Fly and The Wiz (First Stage Children's Theater, The Sparrow (Stoneham Theatre and The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami). Originally from San Jose, CA. Collette was drawn to Chicago for school where she received her BFA with honors in scenic design from the Theatre School at DePaul University and earned her MFA from Northwestern University in 2007. She teaches and received the full-time Scenic Design Theatre Lectureship at Columbia College Chicago and teaches adjunct at Northwestern University. |
